WHO WE ARE

HALT-COVID Louisiana is a statewide collaborative effort by the Louisiana Community Engagement Alliance Against Covid-19 Disparities (LA-CEAL). This partnership aims to provide our communities with the resources and tools needed to protect our neighborhoods, towns, cities, and parishes from the spread of COVID-19.

OUR MISSION

To foster community-level awareness and understanding regarding the coronavirus pandemic and the impact of COVID-19 on individuals, their families, and the larger community.

To expand existing COVID-19 community education resources and to meet the needs of Louisianans most impacted by COVID-19.

To support decision-making about participation in COVID-19 prevention (e.g., vaccines) and therapeutic initiatives and trials among underrepresented Louisianans.

To support timely dissemination of accurate COVID-19 information and resources for communities across Louisiana that are disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

FUNDING

LA CEAL is a member of an NIH-wide effort led by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
